Have your eyes been glued to all the sport happening this time of year? Le Tour de France, Euros, Wimbledon, (Carlton Blues!) AND the Olympics soon?! Theres so much happening this time of the year at various times of the day and night!
Le Tour is one of our favourites. Did you know that riding is a wonderful way to help knee pain? It's a low impact and effective cardio exercise. It can also be good for a sore lower back, if the bike is comfortable for your body, theres no reason as to why you cant use a bike - stationary or outside! Bike riding helps to strengthen the muscles around out knee without stressing the joints.
Cycling benefits include:
Low impact on the body
Muscle strengthening
Improved joint mobility
Weight management
It's also a great way of reducing stress and getting outside! Or, if its wet outside, a stationary bike and the French background is also a good motivator!
If you are experiencing knee pain, why not try a bike for your rehab?
Have a look at our instagram for Bronwyn's best knee strengthening exercises as well. You can do them all at home, with and without bands.
